J.B.: J.B. (Joe Bendel) is a veteran of the trade book publishing industry and has taught jazz survey courses at NYU's School of Continuing and Professional Studies. He has written for print and online publications, like The Epoch Times, Criminal Element, and Signal to Noise. He also coordinated instrument donations for displaced musicians on a volunteer basis for the Jazz Foundation of America during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
